Thermal Cycler Blocks

 

The GS1, GS2 and GS4 Personal and Multi Block Gradient Thermal Cyclers in the GStorm Premium PCR Thermal Cycler Range all benefit from the same 11 thermal cycler block options.

All our Thermal Cycler blocks are calibrated using NIST traceable standards to ITS 90 and employ GStorms tetrad Thermal Cycler block control. The blocks are user changeable in seconds in the GS1, GS2 and GS4 cycler chassis’ without the need to use any tools whatsoever. Our tetrad Thermal Cycler block control employs the latest PID control algorithms and ensures every part of the Thermal Cycler block is perfectly controlled regardless of sample loading to achieve target temperatures quickly, accurately and uniformly.

The standard Thermal Cycler blocks are made from nickel coated aluminium and provide a robust and reliable option offering exceptional value for money for the processing of PCR samples in 0.2ml, 0.5ml tubes and 96 well plates as well as in slides for Insitu hybridisation/PCR and micro arrays.

The Gradient Thermal Cycler blocks offer the same benefits as the standard Thermal Cycler Blocks but with the added benefit of allowing protocols to be conducted with up to 12 temperatures at PCR annealing steps between 300C and 800C to provide rapid, accurate and reproducible temperature optimisation experiments (Gradient Thermal Cycler blocks are only available in certain countries)

The GStorm fast Thermal Cycler blocks and fast Thermal Cycler Gradient blocks for PCR are the pinnacle of PCR Thermal Cycler block technology and offer superlative performance for researchers that demand the absolute best in class. The fast Thermal Cycler blocks and fast Gradient Thermal Cycler blocks for PCR are available in 96 x 0.2 ml/micro plate or 384 well Thermal Cycler Block options. These Thermal Cycler blocks are made by specialist precision manufacturing methods and are solid silver which is then electroplated with pure gold. Silver has excellent thermal conductivity and provides exceptional sample temperature uniformity both at and between the temperature steps of any PCR thermal cycling protocol. The superior temperature uniformity is coupled with lower thermal mass than conventional Thermal Cycler blocks and our advanced tetrad Thermal Cycler control to ensure exceptionally rapid temperature ramp rates and no temperature overshoot or undershoot across the entire sample block throughout the complete Thermal Cycling PCR protocol

The result: Every sample of every run experiences the same accurate temperature profiles providing true, consistent and reproducible Thermal Cycler PCR protocols sample to sample, run to run, day to day and year to year.
